What a Forge Session is

One page. Everything you need.

Time
35–45 minWarm-up through cool-down, start to finish.
Equipment
Whatever you haveA backpack, a jug of water, or nothing at all.
Ages
Scales 6 to 60Three difficulty tiers on every session.

The physical part

A warm-up, a main workout, and coaching cues written so a parent can lead it without being a trainer. Every movement scales three ways — Trail Scout (beginner), Summit Seeker (intermediate), Mountain Strong (advanced) — so a nine-year-old and a forty-year-old can do the same session side by side.

The part that actually sticks

Every session ends with a Forge Lesson and a Family Question — a short, honest conversation prompt tied to the work you just did. That's where the workout stops being exercise and starts being something your kids remember.

How it works

Three steps.
Start this week.

No sign-up, no email wall, no paywall. The sessions are free because a family shouldn't need a gym membership to get strong together. Read them on paper, or run one from your phone with the Forge app — two stopwatches, one step at a time.

Browse the sessions
  1. Pick a session

Open the free workouts page and choose one. Each is a single page you can read on a phone or print and stick on the fridge.

  2. Do it together

Everyone moves at their own tier. Nobody sits out. Set a timer and go — the session tells you exactly what to do and in what order.

  3. Finish with the question

Read the Forge Lesson out loud, ask the Family Question, and let the answers land. Five minutes here is the whole point.

Forge Session 5 — Carry the Load

Work capacity · Endurance · Resilience

Grab a kettlebell, a backpack, a sandbag — or nothing but your bodyweight — and move a heavy thing 400 yards. Then do it again.

  • 400-yard carry, 50 walking lunges, 30 push-ups, 20 deadlifts — twice, for time.
  • Beat your family's best time as a team, not as individuals.
  • Forge Lesson: you don't choose the weight life adds — you choose how you carry it.

Forge Lesson

"Life will always add weight to your load. You don't get to choose that. But you do get to choose how you carry it. Carry it with strength. Carry it with heart. Carry it together."

When you want more than a workout

Coaching and counseling for the whole family.

The free sessions are the front door. Some families want a plan built for them, and some are carrying something heavier than a sandbag. We can point you at the right one.

Personal fitness coaching

A program written for your family's actual life — your schedule, your equipment, your injuries, your goals. Progressions that hold up when the season gets busy, and accountability so week three doesn't quietly become week zero.

  • One-on-one, couples, or whole-family programming
  • Movement assessment and honest scaling
  • Check-ins that keep you consistent
Counseling & therapy

Licensed counseling for individuals, couples, and families. Anxiety, depression, trauma, communication that's gone sideways, parenting under strain, or a family trying to find its footing again after something hard.

  • Individual, couples, and family sessions
  • Telehealth and in-person options
  • A real intake conversation before you commit to anything
